Spatialhealth.com, Inc is requesting
proposals for an
Editor-in-Chief for its
on-line open access
publication - the International Journal of Spatial Health (IJoSH).
IJoSH is a Bi-Annual publication of the
Spatialtechnologies.org.
IJoSH is
multi-disciplinary journal focusing on applied aspects of health,
geographic information systems (GIS) and management. The primary
objective of IJoSH is to provide a wide array of peer-reviewed
scientific research dedicated to on-going research in Health Sciences
and GIS.
Common topics for IJoSH articles include but are
not limited to medical
informatics, emerging & tropical diseases, macroeconomics & health,
environmental health & pollution, health services & policies, avian
influenza & epidemiology etc.
The responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief are as
follows:

Working to ensure timely and quality publication of
IJoSH;
·
Actively helping to solicit high-quality manuscripts from
multi-disciplinary fields related to GIS, health sciences, remote
sensing and related disciplines;
·
Actively pursuing ideas to improve the quality, content,
and presentation of
IJoSH and helping to develop new sections or special editions of
the journal when appropriate;
·
Selecting appropriate reviewers for a paper and
corresponding with reviewers and authors; and
·
Making final decisions on acceptance of papers.
Interested applicants must submit a proposal (4-page maximum) to the
Search Committee at address listed below or by e-mail at:

Proposals must address:
- Academic, editorial and professional
qualifications of candidate; and
- A plan for fulfilling the responsibilities of
editor.
